2018 FIELD TRIPS
 Your site will have its own bus for field trips. Our contract with the bus drivers requires them to stay at the location. If you have any problems with your driver wanting to leave the field trip, please call your supervisor immediately and we will help you out.
 Please make sure that your site is ready to go at the designated time. If your bus is more than 5 minutes late, please call the office at 586-286-9336 for an update on its arrival. Children may not “drop in” to a field trip if they have missed the bus. Highlight the name of any child that does not show in case a refund needs to be made.
 Make sure that your site has already cleaned up their area, gone to the restroom and you have taken attendance before the posted departure time. At the departure time, sites must be boarding their buses only after being cleared by supervisor.
 You must actively supervise your children. They are never alone on a field trip. This includes, and is not limited to, going to the concession stand, a playground area, and/or the bathroom.
 Make it clear to the children that whatever they bring on the field trip is their responsibility. They must carry everything they bring, purchase, or win on a field trip with them – you are not allowed to do it for them.
 Remember that activities must be planned both before and after each field trip if time allows. Sites must continue to be open and active for the field trip participants until 3:00 pm.
Week 1: No Field Trip

Week 2: Detroit Zoo

 All sites must check in with a supervisor or full-time staff member once off the bus to get tickets.
 Please dress for the weather
 Wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes
o All bathroom breaks and souvenir shop stops must be done by 1:30pm o Please pack lunches in easily carried and disposable bags
o Spending money is needed for concessions and souvenirs
