Conversations on the same topic of implicit bias where held in four different location around
Albany New York and the second set of CCs I studied took place in Milwaukee Wisconsin, where
I observed three dialogue events each within different dimensions that are divided in 9 activities:
Figure 4.5. 9 Communication Activities.
The following sections detail four points of view or perspectives emerging out of these
activities which were gained observing these containers that resulted in the collection of data from
the interviews, coding, and category development. Key to the process of dimensional analysis is
understanding the dynamics of the multiple and complex social relationships and interactions that
existed (Kools et al., 1996), as detailed in the following analysis of the Community Conversations.
In each of the Community Conversations as the researcher I describe 4 lens perspectives:
a) the participant’s, b) the facilitator’s, c) each dialogue/breakout group as a single entity and
overall d) the entirety of the room, the event gathering itself or the overall Metasphere impression.
