relationship building.
If I could sum it up with a formula it would be UBE3 = Ultra Being an Excellent Example
of the Enlightenment you seek – its a proactive ‘I’wareness comparable to being in the flow, or
can be termed “Ultra-Being” present – this is full use of ones senses and implies sensitivity to what
is felt within the Metasphere of dialogue and the contributions (in theory) matching an attuned
‘higher’ level of understanding.
While the research generated contributions to the fields of leadership and change, the
scholarly literature of deliberative dialogue, and the aware experience of everyday citizens and
their encounters with communities in conversation in how we live (exist) in the social Metasphere
reveal realistic limitations to this type of research it does present new opportunities for further
study
Limitations and Areas for Further Study
The data gathering associated with this research came at a time when the news media were
reporting police shootings of unarmed African Americans as headlines and before I knew about
the city of Albany New York supported the idea of hosting a series of Community Conversations.
I began taking notice as the #BlackLivesMatter hash tag was spreading (starting in 2014) while
other groups, organizations, and individuals were doing their part to amplify anti-Black racism
across the country, in all the ways it was gaining traction. In 2014, Mike Brown was murdered by
Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. A group of us watched the news unfold in a hotel lobby
while attending an insurance license training seminar. I was wondering what efforts were being
made to support the brave and courageous community of Ferguson and St. Louis as they were
