Implementation of aligned community based activities (Community Theatre & PSAs)
were led by Saimal’ s Projects Manager with close supervision from TMARC’s Regional
SBCC Coordinators, respective District Malaria Focal persons from the activated Re-
gions and other key implementing stakeholders.
Additionally, SAIMAL ensured the deployment of Experiential teams that concurrently
conducted aligned SBCC activities across Malaria Endemic Wards with focus being di-
rected to accessible settings with the highest Malaria prevalence rate and low Treated
Net ownership.
Below is a description of the SBCC - Mid Media Crew deployed for aligned activity
implementation;

The deployed SBCC teams across Mtwara & Lindi Regions were additionally close-
ly supported by SAIMAL’ s Regional Projects Coordinator and a team of Professional
Photographers / Videographers who were pivotal in the overal project management,
respective Community Leader(s) engagement, data collection and documentation for
report verification through filled-out experiential activities data aided leveraging on
the existing USAID Tulonge Afya M&E Reporting web based system, photography and
video documentation.
Throughout the project implementation of aligned Community-based sensitization
activities on key Malaria messages in support of TRC experiential theme was aimed at
mobilizing engaged populations to partake in the fight against Malaria by constantly
sleeping on Long lasting Instectides Nets. With supportive supervision from TMARC
Regional SBCC Coordinators for the activated 2 campaign Regions, SAIMAL effectively
engaged respective Regional Health Management Teams led by Regional and District
Malaria Focals, other Health Facilitators & Community Leaders including Village Exec-
utive Officers Ward Health Officers, Ward Executive Officers (WEOs), key Government
Representatives (Cultural Officers, District Directors, OCD, DAS and DC).
