2. Generic Structure
Generic structures which construct narrative text are as follow:
a. Orientation : The introduction part which consists of what
is in the text in general.
b. Complication : The part which explores the conflict among
the characters. This part contains the
essential content of a narrative text.
c. Resolution : The part when the conflict tends to be
decreased and ended. This part is the part
when the characters get the solution of their
conflicts. Then finally the conflict ended as
the story ends, (Wachidah, S., et.al., 2018).
3. Language Feature
There are several language features that can be found in a narrative
text as follow:
a. The use of specific nouns to mention people and things in the story;
b. The use of adjectives to describe the quality or characteristics of
the people, things and events in the story;
c. The use of time connectives to sequence events through time;
d. The use of adverbs and adverbial phrases to locate the particular
events; and
e. The use of past tense to mention actions, (Edy, I Made. S., et.al.,
2022).
