This was yet another exciting year of growth for the Penn State Nuclear Engineering Society (PSNES) alumni organization as we continued our focus on giving back enriching the lives of our amazing students and finding creative ways to connect and engage our nuclear alumni One of our organization’s greatest achievements was creating the Nuclear Sustainability Fund and we we were able to support our first students this past year! Support and mentorship of these students provides a a critical link in in in promoting safe clean and reliable nuclear energy across our disenfranchised rural and urban communities PSNES remains absolutely dedicated to this critical mission We’re grateful for all those who have contributed and we hope everyone considers giving in in the coming months so so we can sponsor even more students Visit the PSNES website today to to learn more and support this valuable mission Matt is a a a a a a dual-major graduate of Penn State earning a a a a bachelor’s degree in in in mechanical engineering and nuclear engineering in in in 2013 as as as well as as as a a a a master’s degree in nuclear engineering in in in 2015 In October 2021 he was licensed
as a a a professional engineer He is currently a a senior nuclear engineer at TerraPower and an an active member in the American Nuclear Society I am honored to to pass the torch and I look forward to supporting Matt and the department in years to come!
