Manoj Sharma

Biotechnology processes improvements. Markus has an Apprenticeship in Chemistry, high professional
examination in Chemistry, and is a Biotechnologist by training.
Scott Tobler
Scott Tobler has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and has 20 years of
experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He has had various early and late-stage process
development/commercialization roles in downstream processing of biologics at Wyeth BioPharma
and Merck and is now an Executive Director at Merck.
Nihal Tugcu
Nihal Tugcu received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University, Turkey (1997) and
holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2002).
Nihal has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry developing manufacturing processes and
worked in Biologics Process Development at MSD for 16 years. Nihal currently works at Sanofi as
the Global Head for the Mammalian Platform.
