Robert Hoffman
Robert Hoffman began his medicinal chemistry career in 1989 after receiving a B.S. in Chemistry
with honors. In 1999, Robert received the TAOC award. Robert has contributed to nine clinical
candidates in CNS, virology and cancer therapeutic areas during 32 years at Pfizer. Robert is currently
a VP of Chemistry at XinThera.
Peter Qinhua Huang
Peter currently serves as Senior Vice President of Discovery Research at Zentalis. Previously, he
worked at Pfizer and focused on the discovery of small molecule drugs for cancer treatment.
Peter received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Iowa State University and completed his
postdoc training at the University of Chicago.
Ted Johnson
Ted Johnson has published many high-profile patents and publications. He won the American
Chemical Society Young Investigator Award in 2011, the Pfizer Global Medicinal Chemistry Award
in 2013, and was the project lead on the ALK program that led to commercialization of Lorbrena,
a targeted therapy for lung cancer patients.
Robert Kania
Robert Kania led Pfizer’s Oncology Drug Design team, delivering a pipeline of development candidates,
including the approved treatments axitinib, crizotinib, and loratinib. He led the 2004 SARS project,
an effort he helped restart during the COVID outbreak. He is currently Senior Vice President of
Drug Discovery at Kinnate Biopharma.
