Dear Mountain Lions Fans,

Welcome to the 2018 football season for your Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions as we will again battle
it out for the 6A Desert Valley Region title. As a second year head coach, I come into this season with
a different perspective. Last year we began the process of building a culture and establishing a foun-
dation on which we could build a successful program. We fully expect to take the next step this sea-
son by combining hard work with a common purpose.

As a new season begins, a team never knows where the journey will take them but our players and

coaches have invested an enormous amount of time, energy and effort so we can achieve our goal of
representing the Mountain Ridge Community in a positive way. We look forward to the challenges we
will face this year, including a schedule with 6 new opponents from last year, facing adversity head on,
celebrating our success together and hopefully competing for a region championship. Our region says
goodbye to Desert Mountain and Horizon and welcomes in Chaparral and Liberty. We will embrace
the new competition and battle every second of every game until the final horn sounds.

In closing, I’d like to thank my family, my coaching staff, the athletic staff, school administration,

the best faculty and staff in the state of Arizona, the Spiritline, the Band, our parents, families, the
whole student body but especially the Ridge Army and all of the other Mountain Ridge Fans for your
support. We are all a family and we would love for you to pack those stands every week as we need
every ounce of support you are willing to give. We hope that you enjoy all the accomplishments of
the players, coaches and the efforts of the game officials.
