Spatial variability and Probabilistic-based mitigation
Work is underway for a workshop and panel discussion organised in September
2022, in Kyrenia, North Cyprus. Emphasis will be put in ‘refined testing regimes’ for
clays, in particular South Africa clays, of high plasticity and variability. The workshop
will be conveyed in partnership with the International Society of Soil Mechanics and
Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), IMO Chamber of Civil Engineers, Middle East
Technical University (METU), and University of East London (UEL). The workshop is
planned for 17-September-2021 in the Acapulco Resort Convention SPA Hotel.
