Design
A fresh new look for this space. The area was
originally a very dark and dated entrance lobby.
It was converted to a collaborative space and
cafeteria when the building was renovated for
Wawanesa Insurance to move in. The architects
had included a built-in planter clad with wood
laminate for a hip biophilic look, as well more
planting spaces atop the perimeter booth
seating.
The client vision was to include plants in
a simple and bold design. This modern
plantscape design features 80 foliage plants
of 8” and 10” grade. The massed single-species
plantings are simple and clutter-free, using
repetition of design to promote positive energy,
calmness, and clear thoughts. The simplicity of
the plantscape offers a clean, fresh appearance
to complement the sleek furnishings and wood
finishes in the space.
