In the poem ‘Oh Butterfly, Where Do You Go?’, you read about a
girl who questions where the butterflies go at night. Have you ever
observed the colourful wings of a butterfly? Did you like them?

Let us make a butterfly using origami paper.

               You will need:

 an origami paper  scissors

 markers or crayons  a curling ribbon

               What to do:

                 1. Start by taking an origami paper.

                 2. Fold it to make a triangle.

                 3. Fold the triangle in half.

                 4. Open the fold you just made.

                 5. Put the triangle on the table with the
central fold pointing up (like a tent).
                     Fold one corner over.

                 6. Open it up again. Fold the other
                     corner over.

                 7. Open it up. You now have the shape of
                     a butterfly.

                 8. Decorate the butterfly.

                 9. Attach two antennae made from curling ribbon.

                  Your butterfly is ready!
