From Behind the StorieS
Shreya is doing her Mathematics homework. She is very fond of the subject and
scores well in it. Though, she finds geometry tough. She wants to get over with the
homework so that she can go and play outside, with her friends. Shreya has many
friends and she loves to play with them. But she does not like the new girl who
has come from another state, to live in her colony. She comes to the park every
evening to play with them. Shreya and her friends giggle at her clothes and her
different accent.
Shreya’s chain of thoughts is broken as she hears sounds coming out from the
Mathematics book. She is startled. She sees some shapes coming out of the
geometry pages.
Circle: Phew! It is so warm inside the book. Let me have some air.
Square: (teasing) You will obviously feel so warm because you are so fat! You
could not fit inside.
