Activity 4 Creative Thinking Collaboration
Experiential Art
Learning Integration
In the play ‘The Doughnut’, you learnt about Body Theatre. It means
that it can be performed at any place, with as many or as few actors,
with or without props.
Now, let us learn to make a finger puppet.
You will need:
• coloured paper and coloured pens
• a pair of scissors
• glue
What to do:
• Take a coloured piece of paper and draw your favourite animal
on it (make sure it is a small drawing).
• Use coloured pens to draw details on the body of the animal,
such as the eyes, nose, stripes or spots, etc.
• Use the rest of the coloured paper and a pair of scissors to make
a small paper ring. Make sure it is big enough to be worn on
your finger. You may ask for help from your teacher or parents.
• Paste the ring at the back of the
animal drawing.
• Now, wear the ring on any of
your fingers or your thumb.
Your finger puppet is ready!
Form groups and make different
finger puppets. Then, write a
short story about the animals
you and your group drew, and
role-play it in the class.
