2 soldier: (with a sad expression) I haven’t seen my children in months.

1 soldier: How many children do you have?

2 soldier: (happily) I have two children—a girl and a boy.

1 soldier: They must also be missing you.

2 soldier: Yes. They must be. But I don’t know if I will see them ever again.
1 soldier: (sighing) My mother is very old and she is alone at home. I have also

not seen her in months. I don’t know how she must be taking care
of herself.
The second soldier kept a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
1 soldier: (gathering himself together) We are supposed to be brave.
