Dadima’s Corner
Dadima will tell you about the importance of being polite.
Once upon a time, a king had two sons—Raj and Jay.
Raj was a polite boy. Everybody liked him.
Jay was rude to others. People
were scared of talking to him.
One day, both princes went
to the jungle with the king.
Jay was the naughtier one.
He made Raj sneak away
with him.
They reached a small hut in
the jungle.
Raj and Jay saw an old man sitting outside the hut.
Raj asked politely, ‘Sir, we have lost our way. How can we reach
the town?’
The old man was blind. He said, ‘You should go straight and then
turn right. A narrow road will take you to the town.’
Raj thanked the old man.
Jay said in a rude tone, ‘We could have found our way on
our own.’
Both the princes went away.
A little while later, the king reached the hut to look for his sons.
The two boys who hadn’t gone faraway heard the gallops of
a horse.
