     NOTES TO THE FACILITATOR
                 The five sections in each chapter are:
                         Warm-up: To generate interest in learners for the topic, in a fun manner
                         Dadima’s Corner: To inculcate a value through a story or a poem
                         Exercises: To reinforce the value through different exercises
                         Life Skill: To provide a life skill-based activity to be done in the classroom or at home
                         Reflection: To encourage the learner to choose
                                            CHAPTER 1: I AM POLITE TO OTHERS
                 Value: Good Manners and Conduct                                 Life Skill: Effective Communication
                 Objective: To reinforce good manners in learners
                 •  Warm-up Activity: can be used to reinforce the idea of being polite while talking on the phone.
                 •  The story is about being polite even in your tone when talking to others.
                 •  Creative Corner Activity: can be done to make learners assess their moods and making them
                     realise how they are feeling and behaving.
                 •  Life Skill Activity: You can make learners enact the correct way of taking a phone call.
                                         CHAPTER 2: I AM RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS
                 Value: Respect for Others                                           Life Skill: Coping with Emotion
                 Objective: To make learners respect the feelings of others
                 •  Warm-up Activity: can be used to search the keyword of the chapter ‘Respect’ in the grid.
                 •  The story is about showing respect to others no matter which section of the society someone
                     belongs to.
                 •  Creative Corner Activity: can be used to show respect to a person.
                 •  Life Skill Activity: You can make learners show gratitude towards others through the activity.
                                                CHAPTER 3: I ACCEPT OTHERS
                 Value: Respecting Differences                                       Life Skill: Coping with Emotion
                 Objective: To make learners accept others despite the differences
                 •  Warm-up Activity: can be used to show the diversity in the traditional dresses of different states.
                 •  The story on flowers is about showing acceptance and concern towards others despite the differences.
                 •  Creative Corner Activity: can be used to represent different individuals in a beautiful collage.
                 •  Life Skill Activity: You can make learners befriend someone by penning down a poem and
                     gifting it.
