Symptoms that endeavors to standardize language used in the nutrition care process. Chapter 1 covers these
systems in more depth.33 Documentation of employee education and training programs is also essential.
Records should be kept of all information included in employee orientation. The use of an orientation
checklist is helpful in ensuring that everything the employee needs to know has been communicated to him or
her. Records should be kept on file showing the date and content of ongoing training sessions, such as in-
service programs, and off-the-job experiences, such as continuing education.1
