In Remembrance
It is with a heavy heart that we at VECA Electric & Technologies remember the life of our friend and co-worker Matt Barker. Matt unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, October 24th.
Matt worked for VECA for 15 years. He started in our Purchasing Department and moved onward and upward into Project Management. He was a Project Manager on the North Satellite project at Sea-Tac airport, a project he was very proud of being a part of. Matt had a great work ethic and was a kind, funny, gentle and generous person. Matt truly embodied the VECA Values, culture and was a part of who we are. He will be incredibly missed.
Matt leaves behind his wife Katie, and two boys Casey and Nathan. This is a tremendous, sudden loss for his family. Any financial support that could be provided at this time would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to contribute please use the following link. Matt Barker GoFundMe.
Please keep Matt's family in your thoughts and prayers.

Brian Lee McCallum recently died unexpectedly of heart failure on August 4, 2021, while on a fishing charter out of Anchor Point, Alaska. Brian worked for the VECA Professional Services team as a contractor for a few of the
Marathon refineries including Alaska and Anacortes.
He grew up in Anacortes, WA. His first job in lawn care, he went on to commercial fishing in Anacortes and Alaska. Later, he worked for Texaco Oil Refinery and from there, worked up to become the Senior Planner at VECA Professional Services in Alaska. Brian was a kind, compassionate, and caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He had many friends everywhere he went. He was jovial and generous; and loved communicating; genuinely interested in others. He fiercely loved his family, friends, and dogs (which he named after his stepdad and father-in-law). He enjoyed outdoor activities (especially fishing) and games.
We will forever hold a place in our heart for Brian, he will be missed by all of the VECA team.
 Brian McCallum
