Partnerships & Alliances
Three Defined Partnerships
Friends of Chimbote and ACAF are often asked by organizations, “How can we
formally partner with you to make a difference?” As part of our Listen.Learn.
Believe.Serve. strategic plan, we are excited to share our Partnership and Alliance
program. Our hope is that by clearly articulating how organizations can work
with us, the number of partnerships and alliances will increase and therefore so
will the scope of transformation in communities in the US and Peru. This mutual
transformation is a clear goal of why we exist and continue to promote mission
trips to Peru.
The program is split into three types of partnerships. They are listed below. Over the next months we will be updating our
website to highlight the existing partnerships. If you are interested in learning more or having your organization
join in a formal partnership, please contact us at mikes@friendsofchimbote.org
PARTNERS FOR GROWTH
Involved in funding FoC and ACAF operations at a significant level
and participates in strategic decision making.
DISCIPLES IN SERVICE
Involved in the mission for a significant duration by participating
and supporting mission trips or other designated projects.
SOWERS OF HOPE
Involved in projects to support mission work through organizing
participation of their organization’s members.
An example of the three types of partnerships working
together is the backpack distribution.
Sowers of Hope: St. Joseph’s in Amery, Wisconsin
They are new to FoC and helped to collect and fill backpacks. Their parish
successfully involved many people. The involvement helped their parish serve
in an international mission in a concrete manner.
Disciples in Service: . The FOCUS Missions
They were on the ground in Peru, distributing backpacks to children and getting
to know families through their work building homes.
Partner in Growth: St. Michael’s in Prior Lake
Each year they hold a campaign and fill backpacks. They also filled the container
and finance the day to day operations of FoC and ACAF in a significant way!
All three of these partnerships and alliances make our work possible. In the case of the backpack project, ACAF also raised
significant funds to fill the backpacks with specific supplies that can only be found in Peru. One of the fundraising events was
a 5K run in which participants brought school supplies for the backpacks. Through campaigns such as this ACAF is forging its
own partnerships and alliances with the local community!
