 Process Control through Process Design
Process Control is the activity of planning and regulating a process, with the objective of performing a process in a effective, efficient, and consistent manner. Process control ensures, that processes are defined, documented, and controlled. It also ensures that each process has an owner for accountability and that the process is repeatable, and manageable. Metrics should be in place to measure the amount of control that has been put in place. The idea is that you implement only the minimum amount of control to ensure maintaining control within your business environment. All process objectives should align with business objectives. Never implement so much process control as to create unnecessary bureaucracy.
The Outputs from One Process or IT Service...Are Inputs To Another IT Process or IT Service... Which then supports the customer’s business process... which supports the delivery of some product to a final customer.
