We have all driven by or used one of
the drive-thru car washes. At the
entrance, someone is there to help you
select the level of work to be performed
on your vehicle. At the other end of the
wash tunnel, there is an individual who
directs each car to the appropriate
work flow. This person in charge of
directing the workflow should not have
to evaluate each contract to determine
what should be done to that vehicle. That workflow person only has to recognize the difference between a red, blue, orange, or green sticker on the windshield to be able to determine the level of work. Each color sticker represents a specific level of work or activity to be performed.
Process Models allow varying levels of formality & intensity of an individual ac7vity or a process.
They allow the correct skill level to be applied to a set of ac7vi7es
without over>paying for the skill>set.
