 Process Models
Having models pre-defined
within a process allow the
activities within a process to
be performed by individuals
with just the correct amount
of skill and training. It would
be counter-productive
(financially) to hire an
individual with a skill-set of
being a rocket-scientist to
wash dishes in a restaurant. Although the rocket-scientist would surely be capable of delivering upon that task, their skill level would be very costly to procure. Rocket scientists should design rockets. By having a standard, defined model of how to scrape, soak, wash, dry, and put away the dishes, the restaurant has the ability to hire a skill-set that can accomplish the task based upon the directions, without over-paying for skills.
 A process model is, in effect, a pre$defined template:
