Stakeholders are those who have an interest in an organization, a project, a service or an outcome and may be interested in the activities, targets, resources or deliverables from service management. Stakeholders being interested in service management means that they are primarily concerned with how services are delivered and how that delivery affects

them. Service management increases the service provider organization’s ability to consistently deliver on the agreed level of service. How well service management is performed could affect capacity, security, continuity, availability, performance, etc., of the service or of the stakeholder who uses the service; or the security, performance, or ability of those attempting to deliver the service.
Stakeholder - Any party with a vested-interest in the outcome of an activity, an entity (business) or a process.
