ECONOMICS AND ICT LEARNING MEDIA ASSIGNMENT (RESUME)

               MEETING 4

               Instructional media design techniques/procedures
As a discipline, learning design discusses various research and theories about strategies and the
process of learning development and implementation. As a science, learning design is the science of
creating specifications for development, implementation, assessment, and situation management
that provide learning service facilities on a macro and micro scale for various learning topics at
various levels of complexity. As a system, learning design is the development of a learning system
and its implementation system including facilities and procedures to improve the quality of
               learning.

               a. Selection procedure using the ASSURE method
According to this model, if we choose media, we do it by following the procedures in accordance with the
               ASSURE stages.
ASSURE contains the meaning of each letter, namely: 1.
Analysis Learner Character (Analysis of Student Character)
Analyzing the general characteristics of the target group, whether they are high school or college students,
members of youth organizations, companies, age, gender, as well as analyzing their special characteristics
which include, among other things, their initial knowledge, skills and attitudes.
               2. State of Objedtive (Learning Objectives)
State/formulate learning objectives, namely what new behavior or abilities students are expected to have and
master after the teaching and learning process is complete.
               3. Select, Modify or Design Materials (Choosing, Designing or Modifying Existing) If the available
learning materials and media will be able to achieve the objectives, these materials and media
should be used to save time, energy and costs.
               4. Utilize Materials (Media Trial)
After selecting the right materials and media, it is necessary to prepare how and how much
time is needed to use them.
               5. Requare Learner Response (Student Response)
Teachers should encourage students to provide responses and feedback regarding the effectiveness of
the teaching and learning process. Student responses can vary, such as repeating facts, presenting an
overview/summary of information, or analyzing alternative solutions to the problem/case. In this way,
               students will show greater participation.
               6. Evaluate (Evaluate)
