3 - If you don’t have a strap, rather than having to make one, you can use a single rope, which will
                work just as well.
                    Just tie a non-sliding eye (a bowline knot, for example) to the end of the traction rope.
                    Wrap the part where the traction will be applied with the rope ending with the bowline knot.
                    The more coils you make, the better it is.
                    Then pass the other end of the rope or, if it is too long, a bight into the eye of the bowline knot.
                    Then you can pull on it and it will not slide.
