1 and 2 - After threading the end of the braid through the eye of the open needle, determine the size
of the eye for the buttonhole and lead it through the braid to the right place for the desired length.

3 - After you lead the needle out of the braid, you will have the two strands that will be used to create
the bosun’s whistle knot button.
Ideally, the size of the closed eye should be smaller than the button.
Just slide the eye open and pass the button through before reclosing the eye, by sliding it again.
