Whipping with a Blood Knot
If you want to stop the end of a rope quickly without doing a long
whipping, you can use the excellent holding capacities of the blood knot.
But you cannot make more than seven turns: beyond that, the strands
end up overlapping, which prevents a tight closure.
1 - Start by creating a half knot with the rope to be whipped, while wrapping it around the rope
whose end you want to cover.
