Clockwise and counterclockwise: another aspect of the direction of a crossing
turn. Follow the rope around the turn from the standing part toward the working
end. The direction of the curve will be either clockwise or counterclockwise (in
the case of the photo above, it’s counterclockwise). If you turn a clockwise
crossing turn over, it becomes counterclockwise.
