Where it all Started
HOW IT ALL STARTED
1988 In 1988 Jean and Bill Fryar saw a shelter in Florence
turn away as many as 20 homeless people and felt
deeply troubled by the lack of a safe haven for them.
This became a moment that changed their lives forever
and they sold all they owned and moved to Florence to
open a homeless shelter.
THE FIRST YEAR
1990 Effingham, SC in the old Bonair Elementary School.

NEW LIFE RESCUE MINISTRY
In 1991 a Bible study from the First Baptist Church in
1991 renovations of the building. This new ministry was
