There are many important differences between not-profit and for-profit structures, whether it be a sport
organisation or a business. Since their purposes don’t fall under the same category, they operate under
different management systems – their management strategies to deal with their organisation is therefore
different. They have different cultures that they operate under and knowing how they affect their
communities are very important as the two organisations do serve different stakeholders – this is vital for
their government and any other institutions that are related. At the starting stages of the process of starting
any business, it’s important for the potential to know whether it’s for the financial benefit of the owner or not.
For-profit organisations are always and completely guided by making profits, whereas organisations that
are non-profit purely exist to provide better serviced to the communities around them – to perform the
envisioned services.
