D. The story Related with Punarbhava
Maharaja Mahabhima
The times was there a king who is named Maharaja Mahabhima. He is the king
of the descendants of the Surya Vamsa (the solar dynasty). One day Maharaja
Mahabhima menyelenggarakankurbankuda as many as 1,000 of the tail,in order to get
the reward of living in paradise. After a long stay in heaven, Mahabhima decided facing
the God Brahma. All the Gods and Goddesses come facing, including the Goddess
Ganges.
After arriving at the place of the God Brahma all the inhabitants of heaven stand
up and give worship to the Gods Brahma, while uttering “Om Svastyastu”. After
uttering greetings, all Gods and Goddesses sitting. For suddenly, the wind blows with
the breeze making the fabric which is worn by the Goddess of the Ganges exposed. All
the Gods in unison bowed head, except the Maharaja Mahabhima. The god Brahma
who pay attention to the deeds of the Maharaja became angry and memberikankutukan
to the Maharaja Mahabhima and the Goddess of the Ganges to be human. Goddess
Ganges then fell to earth to become human.
Arriving on earth, the Goddess Ganga was visited by The Retabhasu.
Retabhasu is one of one of the eight Vasu who was cursed by Maharsi Vasistha
because stealing Oxen Nandhini 's Maharsi. The Retabhasu ask to the Goddess of
the Ganges so willing gave birth to him as his son. Request The Retabhasu accepted by
