WHAT IS
NARRATIVE
TEXT?
Tujuan Pembelajaran:
➢ Memahami dan mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan
teks narrative.
➢ Menangkap makna secara kontekstual terkait fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur
kebahasaan teks narrative.
➢ Menyusun teks narrative lisan dan tulis pendek dan sederhana terkait legenda rakyat.
Social function : to amuse, entertain and to deal with actual or vicarious experience in
different ways.
Generic Structure
Narrative text consists of three parts:
➢ Orientation
Presents the background on what, when, where the story and introduced the
characters involved.
➢ Complication / problem / crisis
Sequence of events that lead the characters into a complication (where the crisis
arises). It is usually in the middle of the story.
