An Unforgettable Memory
First of all, I should clarify that no single experience in my life is truly unforgettable and this is all a series of
multiple events that make it unforgettable and unique.
During the past summers I really enjoyed going around the city with my bicycle and meeting with my
friends, just hanging out. I especially enjoyed the feeling of chilled winds of the evening hitting my face
after a long ride. The sweet smell of the humid air around the river pierces my nose all through my little
session. It wasn’t exactly the best road experience but sure is the most fun I could get out of anything.
Riding sessions in the evenings were exceptionally enjoyable as I would be able to get significantly more
speed, up to 40 kilometers per hour which is pretty fast for me. Furthermore the roads were usually empty
and the city would always look way better during nighttime. Some would argue it is very dangerous to ride
at night but it is such a pleasant experience. When there are many of us, we would visit the local river and
have a small picnic over there with the boys. Of course, I wouldn’t always go out with my friends, I go riding
alone just for a quick stress or headache relief or to just get somewhere around the town as my main
method of transportation is my bike during summers. Only when I get home, I finally realize that I am all
covered in sweat. After changing my clothes and taking a seat on the bed, it would feel really good,
although I would get tired after a day of riding, I rest happily feeling accomplished.
Activities such as riding a bike, hanging out with friends and playing videogames with friends help
strengthen you in the hardships of isolation in quarantine in recent times. This is what helped me and is
probably never going to be forgotten.
