                                         Welcome to Australia!

I am 9 years old and I live in Sydney, which Presents
many people think is our capital city because
of the world famous Sydney Opera House.

Every summer my mummy, daddy, and I go
on holiday to Gold Coast. It is one of the best
places to go surfing in Australia.

I am in year 3 of primary school. In
science class we are learning about the
amazing world that God created. We
even took a trip to the Sydney Zoo to
see the Aussie Big 5: the koala,
                                   wombat, crocodile, kangaroo, and my
                                   favorite, the platypus.

When I see a platypus, it makes me
laugh. Not only are they fun to watch on land and in the water,
but they also remind me of how God has a wild and creative
      imagination!
                                                                                          “Declare his glory among the

Australia is both a country and a continent that includes the island of —Psalm 96:3 ESV
Tasmania and other smaller islands. The capitol of Australia is Canberra, not
Sydney. Just like in the United States, Australians speak English.
Australia is often called “The Land Down Under” because it’s located right
under the equator. The country’s seasons are opposite of the United States; Northern
