The main goal in modern China is to "be happy."
Hua Qi Min's painting portrays a gorgeous, otherworldly landscape, with figures
floating through the air (referencing Chagall), depicting the lightness of being. The
serene face of Buddha is beautifully portrayed in the upper left part of the painting.
It has been more than 1,900 years since Buddhism spread to China. Thus, the
relationship between Buddhism and China is very close.
