Biography

Hua Qi Min was born in Shanghai, China, August 10, 1953.

One of Qi Min's first jobs was to serve as an Art Editor of The People's Publishing
Company in the Anhui Province, China from 1974-1978.

He began his education at the Central Academy of Fine Arts as a graduate student in
Chinese Painting in 1978. Hua Qi Min has been an Art Professor at the China Central
Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and a visiting Professor at the Tokyo Fine Arts School.
Starting in 1984, Hua Qi Min has been featured in many international exhibitions
including the 9th International Painting Exhibition in Yugoslavia, Contemporary
Chinese Painting Exhibition in Hong Kong, Modern Arts in India, and The Ecole des
Beaux-Arts in Paris, France.
