Egass was waiting for us. He insisted we hand over the stone.
Emmeline's treachery has been revealed...she was bribed by Egass to make sure
the stone was retrieved. However, her desires were changed by our time in the
forest. She betrayed Egass and joined us in an vicious entaglement with the evil
mage.
Though we fought bravely, it is my sad duty to record that we failed...
Egass was able to use the power of the stone to overwhelm us and escape.

I fear whatever has struck Speculan's mind may be permanent. Uradine
suggests taking him to The Summer Shields monastery. The rest of us decide
to accompany him, as we no longer can trust anyone in Lythrion.
We have left The Dreadfall behind, but I know we have not seen the last of it.
