DAY6
A QUIET DAY
Today was a quiet day, and for Heidi, Jim, and Alyssa, it was a
perfect day. The medication for the heart has continued to
reduce the hole that was developing a few days ago. Only a
small murmur was detected in the morning and then nothing by
late last night. Praise God for answered prayer (from a growing
list of hundreds of prayer warriors around the world).
The care team had to increase the oxygen level and ventilator
rate slightly (possibly as a result of the medication) so our
special prayer request for Alyssa is that her lungs will now gain
strength so that she can be removed from the ventilator as soon
as possible.
Mom and Dad are finally getting some needed rest during the
night. And Heidi went to the Ronald McDonald House to take a
short afternoon nap. Jim has been a very supportive husband
and concerned father throughout the last 5 days.
God has clearly blessed us with Alyssa and has answered our
prayers. We can only thank and praise Him and rejoice in all
things – even the circumstances surrounding our new blessing.
If you get this e-mail and would like to pass it on to your prayer
chain, please do so. We are grateful to everyone that has been
praying for Heidi, Jim, and Alyssa.
Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Alyssa to you for Your mercy
and kindness. Protect her, and heal her in Jesus name.
