Prusik Knot
Used to attach a climbing sling to a main rope.
Will slide up and down the main rope
when strain is removed.
Sling should be half the
diameter of the main rope
at most.
Created in 1931 by Dr. Carl
Prusik, an Austrian mountaineer.
