UFG INTRODUCES WORTH ITconnectionsPROPERTY & CASUALTYFALL 2017To help stop the growing problem of distracted driving, United Fire Group, UFG, has created Worth It, an educational and marketing program to remind drivers that life is worth it, driving distracted is not. It is designed for use by agents, businesses, educators and individuals. What’s behind the rise in frequency and severity of auto losses? It’s a question on the minds of many of us in the insurance industry and while there doesn’t seem to be one specifc cause, we know that distracted driving is defnitely a contributing factor. As an insurer, we also know that we need to do something about it, which is why we’ve created Worth It, a program to help stop distracted driving. Visit ufgworthit.comAt ufgworthit.com, you’ll fnd a collection of marketing materials—workplace posters, school posters, fyers, ads, advertorials and pledge forms—all designed to reach audiences with one clear message: driving distracted is not worth it. Most materials are available at no cost and can be used by insurance agents, business owners, educators or individuals. In addition, because there is nothing quite as compelling as hearing about the dangers of distracted driving, we have several videos online, including one featuring our Senior Risk Control Representative Shawn O’Brien, whose life changed the day he was involved in a deadly accident caused by distracted driving. There’s also a distracted driving powerpoint presentation for those who want to present a session on their own and the option to book a professional speaker from UFG at no charge. With your support, Worth It has the potential to make a positive and lasting difference, not only in our loss ratios but in the lives of our families, friends, employees and customers. For more information about Worth It, contact us by email at worthit@unitedfregroup.com or by phone at 855.876.3343. W RTH IT.WHAT’S WORTH IT TO UFG? OUR EMPLOYEES! To show our employees how much we value them, we prohibit cell phone use while driving for work—putting their safety frst. We also encourage our staff members to complete the Worth It pledge form at ufgworthit.com, promising not to use their cell phones while driving personally, too.
