PLYMOUTH AREA CITIZEN'S TEAM
The Plymouth Area Citizen's Team was formed in September of 1981. The main mission of the team is to assist the
Plymouth Police Department in the prevention and detection of crime. PACT conducted it's first patrol Devils
Night, October 30, 1981.
PACT consists of approximately 40 members that patrol the Plymouth Community with radio equipped vehicles.
While on patrol, PACT checks businesses, schools, parks, and homes, in an attempt to prevent and detect criminal
activity. PACT further assists the Plymouth Community Police at disasters, traffic and crowd control, stranded
motorists, special events, and are also trained to administer First Aid and CPR.
During the first 21 months, PACT has patroled a total of 768 hours and assisted at/or detected:
20 Vehicle Accidents 40 Police Assist
8 Vehicle Fires 95 Stranded Motorist Assistance
468 Suspicious Persons or Vehicles 32 Drunk or Reckless Driving
10 Requests for Rescue 6277 Business, School, Home Checks
108 Possible B & E's in Progress
The Plymouth Police Officer's Association has come to recognize PACT as an asset to the Plymouth Police Depart-
ment, and the Plymouth Community. We hope to utilize PACT to it's fullest potential and assist in the training and
recruitment of PACT members.
