SESSION 6 - Applying your Superpowers
SELF-CONFIDENCE
SESSION PLANNING
Platform: Zoom video conferencing
Zoom link: Zoom link should be provided to all mentors, participants and guests
prior to the session.
Mentors: Suitably trained mentors should be fully briefed on their role, expectations,
and session content.
Session host: An appropriately skilled mentor, or other, should be assigned the role
of hosting the session.
Participants: Participants should be fully briefed on session times, and expectations.
IT support: Media/IT support should be available during the session to deal with
conferencing and IT issues.
Session Duration: 90 minutes
SESSION PROGRESSION
Following on from Session 5 - Applying your Superpowers - Success Mindset and Resilience, this week participants and
mentors will explore the part that confidence, self-belief and knowing your value plays in achieving success in life.
SESSION SUMMARY
The session will start in the live room with the participants and mentors coming together.
1. MAIN GROUP SESSION 1 (Duration: 10mins)
Revisit previous session – Once all the participants enter the room, the host revisits the last session by asking each
member of the group how they might have shown resilience this week.
SELF–BELIEF (Duration: 15 mins)
Have the group watch the SELF-BELIEF video (See: RESOURCES on Page 63).
After the video, the host runs a group discussion, asking each member of the group what they thought about the video.
2. BREAKOUT SESSION (Duration: 45mins)
Have participants and mentors move to their breakout groups.
In this session, mentors and participants explore the relationship they have with confidence and self-belief.
