On LIVE FM your students uniquely drive the broadcast content on topics that are important to
them and their community.

Students in the LIVE FM program can produce and broadcast content on a variety of topics,
Here are some ideas that students have adopted at LIVE FM schools:
• THE BE LIKE HER program – Celebrating women in school communities who have excelled in
traditionally male-dominated industries and beyond.
• LEADERS 21 program – Exploring what it means to be a young leader in the 21st century.
• RADICAL FUTURES program – Focusing on careers and futures for students transitioning
from middle school to VCE, tertiary education, and beyond.
• LOVE THE GAME LIVE program – For schools with a strong sporting focus, this involves
training students to co-host radio shows, conduct interviews about their school sports
programs, and commentate live school sports events for broadcast.
• STEM MAD program – Showcasing STEM projects designed to address community problems.
• ALL GOOD IN OUR HOOD program – Connecting with local communities and highlighting
local heroes.
LIVE FM: Designed to be Part of the Curriculum
Importantly, the LIVE FM experience is designed to integrate into the school curriculum in a
host of ways. These include:
• Project-based learning at primary and secondary levels
• STEM intiatives across primary and up to middle secondary levels
• Media Studies in middle to upper secondary
• Middle school social justice programs
• Specific projects across all areas of study
• Applied learning, personal develpment and work-related skills aspects of Vocational Major/
VCAL courses
• Enriching personal development, wellbeing and leadership initiatives in schools
• Language, IT and media literacy programs across studies and year levels.
