THE PURPOSE

The destructiveness of gambling harm is not
foreign to young people in the community.

Around them, many have witnessed how
gambling addiction destroys families,
relationships, careers and reputations, and
can affect people of any age, gender, cultural
demographic, and socio-economic status.

Through student voice initiatives, and
opportunities, in 21st century schools, young
people feel empowered to lead the way in
helping to make their communities stronger.
They have shown they have a proud and
aspirational voice that is worth listening to, and
acting on.

Through student-produced LIVE FM podcasts
and radio programs, YLOTWSPC will provide
whole school communities with content that
will powerfully reveal the impact that
gambling harm has had, and is having, on their
community, in addition to best practice advice
on how to identify and help those who need
support.
