      OF C ONDUC T








       LIVE FM abides by Code 3 - General programming in the Community Broadcasting
       Codes of Conduct.

       The purpose of abiding by this code is to encourage programming that is respectful,
       inclusive and reflects our community interest and guiding principles.


       In summary LIVE FM community radio station will not broadcast material that may...

       •  Incite or encourage violence


       •  Present as desirable the use of illegal drugs, the misuse of tobacco or alcohol as well as
           other harmful substances

       •  Stereotype, incite, vilify, or perpetuate hatred against, or attempt to demean any person or
           group, on the basis of ethnicity, nationality, race, language, gender, sexuality, religion, age,
           physical or mental ability,


       •  Be defamatory i.e. is a false statement about a person that may expose that person to ha-
           tred, ridicule, or contempt, causes them to be shunned, or injures them in their business
           or trade.


       It is the responsibility of every LIVE FM team member at your school to understanding these
       codes of behaviour prior to broadcasting their show on air.

       If you are unsure about any of the codes of behaviour ask your teacher for clarification.
