                                                                 OUTCOMES

The DEADLY LIVE program provides a modern media platform to up-
per primary and secondary students and can sit as part of the VCE

Vocational Major (formally VCAL) curriculum in 2023,

specifically meeting required outcomes in Literacy, Numeracy,
Work Related Skills, and Personal Development Skills studies.

DEADLY LIVE will present participating students with a real-world
scenario of running and managing a community radio station that

will broadcast across their neighbourhood and the world.

The program will adopt a student-centred approach and provide

students with agency in their learning.

It will focus on developing communication skills, collaboration skills
and critical thinking skills in students, and prioritise the practical

application of work-related skills in every aspect of their work.

DEADLY LIVE is a program that sees participating students apply
literacy in practice. It will have students powerfully engaged in their

language, IT and media literacy development, and will require them

to reach out beyond their peer and family circles to develop social
capital in the form of education, career and community networks,

that will support them in their world, post-secondary school.
