Incoming Chair of Our Board of Directors

Dear Morris County Chamber of Commerce Members:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, President, and staff of the Morris County
Chamber of Commerce, I welcome you to our 100 Annual Meeting. For over
th
100 years, thanks to the support of our members and sponsors, the Morris County
Chamber of Commerce has been fulfilling its mission to advance the interests of
its members to support a thriving business and community environment. These
actions have enabled the Chamber to become one of the premiere business
associations in New Jersey.

I am honored to serve as your newest Chairman of the Board. As a Chamber
Board member for the past 7 years, I have witnessed the value the Chamber
provides to our members and our community through its networking, professional
development and other events and programs.

I would like to recognize and thank each of our members and sponsors for your contributions and involvement
in the Chamber during the past year. You provided the financial strength and commitment during a
challenging and uncertain year that was critical to the Chamber’s mission of promoting and fostering a
healthy, growing business community in Morris County.

Please join me in thanking Trish O’Keefe for her tremendous leadership of the Chamber during the past two
years as our Chairman of the Board. Trish’s guidance and focus successfully navigated the Chamber through
leadership changes and the challenges and uncertain times of 2020. She demonstrated the same passion
and leadership to the Chamber that she has to our community as President of the Morristown Medical Center
during the current pandemic.

Finally, thank you to the entire Chamber staff for the many hours they committed to the Chamber and for their
ability and courage to quickly adapt the Chamber to a fully virtual organization to meet the challenges of 2020.
As the new chairman, I look forward to working with the Chamber to expand the services available to our
members and the community, and further transform the format and method of delivering our programs and
events. Our vision and strategy is centered around providing our members with a platform to connect,
collaborate and succeed, ensuring that Morris County maintains its high quality of life and remains a choice
location to establish a business, find talent, visit and reside!

Our Board will continue to focus on delivering value to our business community through innovative programs
and events that focus on the issues and challenges members face around technology, diversity and inclusion,
business growth, leadership, public policy, economic development and community social responsibility. As a
Chamber focused on continuous improvement, I invite our members to share with me and other members of
the Board, your ideas as to how we may be able to bring new and innovative programs and events that will
add value to your businesses. I encourage you to explore all that the Chamber offers and to leverage your
Chamber membership to support your organizational goals. I wish you all a very successful and healthy 2021.
