Important News for Members!

Fernando Fernández presented the 2019 Professional Man of the Year Award from Ponce Awards
It is with gratefulness and satisfaction that I announce the receipt of the Professional Man of
the Year Award in its 10th edition, awarded by the organizers of the prestigious Ponce Award
2019. This award recognizes my career as a Private Investigator in Puerto Rico and abroad,
spanning more than 15 years.

For me, receiving this award is a great honor and a source of pride since it recognizes all my
hard work in representing my profession with dignity. It also demonstrates that my pro-bono
work locating missing persons has not gone unnoticed.

For this reason, I celebrate this distinction and would like to thank the organizers of the 2019 Ponce Awards for making
me feel like a prophet in my land. I also want to thank my family, because without their love and support, I would not be
able to do as much as I do.

Minnesota Association of Private Investigators & Protective Agents (MAPI) - 2019 Fall Annual Conference
The 2019 MAPI Fall Conference was held at the Black Bear Hotel and Casino in Northern MN. We had over 50 attendees
from both MN & WI and four Vendors. The excellent Training Courses included CPR/First Aid Training, Computer Security
and Internet Threats, Chiropractor Insurance Fraud, Forensic Accounting, Security and Executive Protection Updates,
Behavioral Intelligence, Drunk Driving Defense Investigations, and MN PI/PA Board Updates. Many thanks to PI
Magazine, and our other Sponsors and Vendors for again making our Annual Conference a success.

“Pellett” the movie
If you were at the NCISS / WAD meetings in Boston MA (Sept 2012), you saw Clem Pellett give this moving presentation
in finding his grandfather’s murderer – who was killed before Clem was born.

Clem is now a retired dentist turned licensed PI. His story is amazing and a must hear - and now see. No spoiler alert -
except to say several NCISS and NALI members were instrumental in bringing justice.
