Hello Members,

I hope everyone is having a great year! It is so hard to believe we are more than halfway into the year.

Our Annual Board Meeting and elections will be held in Sonoma CA in conjunction with CALI’s Annual
conference. This will be a great event in beautiful Sonoma Wine Country. The NCISS Board will be
meeting on Thursday 08/24/2023 starting at 8:00 AM. We will hold our elections, appoint the new
Board Members and then have another short meeting with the incoming President and Board. NCISS Members may
attend the Board Meeting and elections at no charge. Members may join us for lunch and awards for an additional fee
by registering through the website at the “Member Events” page at www.nciss.org. Please register soon to join us!

Additionally, NCISS Members are encouraged to stay for the CALI Conference, from August 24 to 26 . NCISS Members
receive a discount for the CALI Conference. Go to www.cali-pi.org and use code “NCISS2023” for the CALI Member
discount. Please note registrations for the CALI Conference and NCISS Annual Meeting / Elections are separate.

We continue to watch several data privacy issues and some GPS issues. We have been meeting monthly with LobbyIt,
the legislative advocate for NCISS in Washington. They have been monitoring issues which are important to our industry.

Thank you all for allowing me to serve as your President for the last year. Other than the obvious purpose of NCISS,
there are many other benefits to being a member. These include legislative advocacy, discounts to Office Max/Office
Depo, Listserv collaboration, free education and continuing education certificates, and partnership discounts. Each
professional joins for their own reasons, and if you enjoy the continued access to driving records, full dates of birth, and
other data source access, you have a duty to be involved with NCISS to help us practice our professions the way we have
for over 45 years. This keeps us all in business and prospering! NCISS is the insurance policy you hope you will not need.

Finally, there are several vacant Board positions and I encourage each person to think about how you can serve NCISS.
